SSH does not come pre-activated on your hosting account. To have SSH activated for your account, please email us at info at speedhost .in, there is a one time charge of Rs.300 associated with it.

If you are on our Basic or Silver / Unlimited Hosting Plan, you can generate a request by logging on to your customer login section >> My Products & Services >> Your Hosting Account >> Select Account Addons >> and selecting SSH as an addon. An invoice will be auto generated for you.

Note: We allow you to use Jailed SSH on your hosting account to make it easier to develop and debug your files with such text editors as vim and nano (No Daemons or Background processes allowed.)

Once you have taken hosting from us, we can provide you with a SSL certificate for added security of your website. SSL is mostly needed to encrypt important information such as credit card transactions on e-commerce web sites. The charges for SSL certificate are Rs.6000 / year. When you order a SSL certificate you would also required to order Dedicated IP which would cost an additional Rs.2500 / year. Note: If you are running an e-commerce website but are doing money transactions with a 3rd party merchant such as PayPal, CCAvenues, Google Checkout etc, then you do NOT need SSL or dedicated IP, since the transactions are happening on 3rd party secure websites.

Yes! We can assign you a dedicated IP for your hosting account. There is an yearly charge of Rs.2500/year associated with it. To order Dedicated IP, please email us at info at speedhost . in.

Note: Dedicated IP can be only ordered once you have an hosting account. A dedicated IP change requires 4 hours to resolve. Your site may appear to be down during that time. You can Flush your computers DNS or power cycle your router to speed this process up. You will NOT need to change your name servers.

There is a 250 hourly email limit per domain on all shared servers. This limit is also applied towards mailing lists. If you send over this amount in any hour, the e-mails will fail and may bounce back with a undeliverable error.

Shared servers limit each connecting IP to 30 POP checks per hour. If you go over this, you will likely get a password error indicating your login is incorrect. To fix this, just wait an hour and it will automatically unlock. To prevent this from happening, disable automatic send/receive or set a higher time interval, such as checking once every 10 minutes.

You get a bounce back indicating your email has been tagged as spam due to exceeding a 250 e-mail per hour limit. You will need to wait until the next hour to continue sending emails.
