Optimize your Website performance by using Apache Compression

August 22nd, 2010

Apache 2.0 and 2.2 allows you to compress contact before sending it the visitor’s browser. This will enable your website to load much faster without modifying or optimization of the code. This request can be done with a click of the mouse from your cPanel.

Just login to cPanel and then click Optimize Website. You can choose to Compress all content and then press Update Settings.

Ok, but what if the optimize website works only for the main domain. That’s my case, my main domain gets compressed but the addon domain don’t.

    What can be done?

I’m using wp-supercache plugin with wordpress. Will Apache compression still work?.

HI.. since compression is different from caching, i think it should work… but since you are already using supercache, i think there might not be any need to compression.
