when i open greword.com
the error msg is shown….

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
then i go to core ftp and change the file permission inside file properties for 644 and 755 in core http://ftp..
and also in c-panel i go to change permission and change permission 644 and 755 but there was an error he showing

Fileop Failure on: home/greword/public-html/index.php. operation not permitted

plz reply asap…
give the solution asap…..

i have change the permission in core ftp- 644(-rw-r–r–), and c-panel- for 775 (rwxrwxr-x) or 755 (rwxr-xr-x).

but permission not change plz give me better solution for this problem…..

Did you try doing that from the cPanel > File Manager. It could be your FTP program which could be creating this issue.

I m trying to change the file permission of a folder where path of images are stored to 777. But this message is being shown: ” SITE CHMOD 777 aspnet_client: command not understood”. Can you help with this?

You can change the permissions of your CGI-BIN but you should NEVER change the permissions on your cgi-bin directory. If you have already changed the permissions of your CGI-BIN, you need to change it back to 775 (rwxrwxr-x) or 755 (rwxr-xr-x).

I got a problem with this. I’m using Core FTP LE and i’m trying to change the file permissions for CGI-BIN to 755 but whenever I click ok and refresh the remote view by disconnecting and connecting again, it the values have been changed back to 770. Why won’t my change stick? Is it because you can’t change CGI-BIN? I’m trying to do this for a lesson.
