How to connect to your Hosting using FTP Filezilla

Connecting to your server using FTP (Filezilla) is very easy. There are only 3 thing which you would need to know

1. Your Host Name: This is your domain name, you can simply use example.com
2. Your Username: This information is given to you in the New Account Information email
3. Your Password: This information is given to you in the New Account Information email

You can leave the Port info box as empty and then simply press the quick connect button. Once your files are displayed on the right box, please make sure that you upload your content to the folder called public_html

How to change Simple DNS zones (MX, CNAME, and A records)

With our cPanel, you now have access to make simple DNS changes. This access is available in all our hosting plans. If you are looking for Advance DNS Zone Edit features, they are only available on Silver hosting and Unlimited hosting plans.

Note: This feature will take effect only if you are using SpeedHost.in name servers.

In cPanel, you have an icon under ‘Domains’ called ‘Simple DNS Zone Editor’. This feature allows you to create and edit A and CNAME records.

You can also create and edit your MX records with the icon under ‘Mail’ called ‘MX Entry’. Here are the rules for Local, Backup, and Remote.

You can even customize your SPF records using the icon under ‘Mail’ called ‘Email Authentication’.

How can i enable Email Authentication SPF / DKIM

Email authentication is the effort to equip messages of the email transport system with enough verifiable information so that recipients can recognize the nature of each incoming message automatically. Enabling email authentication will help fight the spread of spam.

You can enable email authentication via SPF and DKIM (Domain Key) from your cPanel by clicking on the Email Authentication tab.

Optimize your Website performance by using Apache Compression

Apache 2.0 and 2.2 allows you to compress contact before sending it the visitor’s browser. This will enable your website to load much faster without modifying or optimization of the code. This request can be done with a click of the mouse from your cPanel.

Just login to cPanel and then click Optimize Website. You can choose to Compress all content and then press Update Settings.

How can i change Webmail Password?

There are 2 ways to change / reset webmail password.

1. If you are the administrator of the hosting account, you can log on to the cpanel and then click Email Accounts to change the webmail password.

2. If you are just a user of webmail, you can change the password by logging on to your webmail and then clicking the option Change Password.
